Rick wins day 1 at Louisville!

It was an amazing day for Rick Morris. His choice of actually being the first man in history to use a water bottle cage will be mimicked for at least 2 years. "My Ti King Water bottle cage really made by bike complete" said Morris of Traverse City. Maybe next time he will strap on a Camelbak...

Madison Vs. Traverse City for CX Nationals?

Promoter Brad Ross told VeloNews earlier that Bend would not host the event in 2011, but he would instead focus on preparing for the national marathon mountain bike and masters road championships. Both events will take place in Bend in 2011 and 2012.

The federation’s national events manager Micah Rice told VeloNews that he plans to announce the site and date of the 2011-12 championships within a matter of weeks. According to a source close to the situation who requested not to be identified, Traverse City, Michigan, and Madison, Wisconsin, are the front-runners to host the event.

Through thy winter...

Yes, we will be living thy dream on our cross bikes through thy winter here in TC. With thy warming hut only a couple hundred yards away from thy course there will be no acceptable excuses for not showing up due to "weather conditions".

Speaking of "weather conditions"... Once it gets cold we are going to fire up a grill and have some Bratwurst eating competitions before, during, and after our ride. We are going to need thy extra protein to keep us warm.

It's still early and thy course has yet to be officially "born" but does anyone have any name ideas? Come up with the winning name and win a free ankle massage from Rick valued at over $7.50.

Ok then.... Tuesday evening. Be there. We flew legendary cyclocross course designer Oprah Winfrey here this weekend to make a few adjustments. Wow, she did not disappoint and you will not be disappointed.
